Hello! Welcome to this list of Twitter pitch events coming up in 2024.
Pitch events (also called pitch contests or pitch parties) are usually one-day events on social media during which writers use a particular hashtag to get eyes on their manuscript pitches. This is often in the hope of grabbing the attention of agents and publishers, but there are also community-only events for cheering each other on.
With Twitter being in a turbulent state at the moment, there is uncertainty around the future of pitch events on the platform. Many have been discontinued, others have moved elsewhere. The list below gathers all the information I could find about what is happening and where. I will update it as more information becomes available throughout the year.
If you’re planning to take part in any of these events, please double-check the details beforehand on the organisers’ social media/websites, since schedules can easily change.
Do your pitches pack a punch?

Hi, I’m Jake! I helped my Pitch Wars mentees craft pitches that caught the eye of multiple top SFF agents. I’d love to help you, too. Find out more about my pitch and query critique services, or get in touch with any questions!

Thank you so much for this resource! I’ve definitely found it helpful as I prepare for pitch events. I just wanted to let you know about a new pitch event that I found, Picante Pit, for Latinx YA/Adult writers.
It seems like it might be on Discord based on this tweet from one of the organizers.

Oh, amazing—thank you very much for the information! Glad you’ve found this post helpful. 😊
#ChaosPit happened on April 1, 2024 and will likely have another event coming up soon!
Author hype event, but some agents did get involved.
And SmoochPit has their 2024 dates up!

Thank you very much for the info about #ChaosPit! I’ll keep an eye out for announcements about the next one. 😊 And I didn’t realise that SmoochPit is actually a mentoring contest rather than a pitch event, so I’ve taken that off the list for now.
#CheerPit Just announced for authors with query-ready manuscripts as well as agented authors.

Thank you very much for letting me know! I’ve added it to the list. 😊
